Mokuhanga

This traditional japanese printing method hooked me right from the start…

I am trained as an architect and have a great appreciation for well crafted objects, small or large. Be it a hand tool, garden shed or well designed airport, if it enriches ones life, I am all in.

The beautiful hand made carving knives, barrens and brushes are joy to work with. The shina wood blocks with visible wood grain, hand made washi paper and only watercolours to print with are all natural materials that are kind to our environment. And that’s it. Simple tactile materials that nurture my soul.
